Mrs Krysia came to Materna Dental Clinic dissatisfied with her upper complete denture and looking for a more comfortable solution.

After a thorough examination, our implant specialist Dr Pawel Kulesza suggested implants in the upper jaw. Due to the difficult bone conditions, two different implant systems were recommended: SGS and Bicon, using the flap implantation method. Implants were placed in teeth number 18, 13, 23 and 28. After 5 months, the implants were uncovered and the prosthesis was fitted so that the patient could wear it until the final work was fitted. The non-standard positioning of the implants: 18 and 28 Bicon, 13 and 23 SGS allowed the design of a telescopic removable work.

Mrs Krysia was fitted with an acrylic prosthesis in Vita A1 colour.

This solution allows for:

  • reduction of overload,
  • safety during removal and insertion of the prosthesis
  • the possibility of cleaning the work and maintaining proper hygiene,
  • lightweight yet robust design,
  • the possibility of regenerating the work when the acrylic material wears off.
